Thanks! I had someone weld the extension plates to the rear bumper mounting brackets. Then I drilled new holes. The front bumper was just welded on. I figure the next time it comes off it won't be going back on. HEHE

1/2 body lift might work out well. I did 1.25" on my 4runner (was ok).

You'll like the bigger tires off road. I just remember enjoying my 4runner more with the smalller tires. Maybe proper gears and larger brakes would have changed my mind. The important thing is to have fun. Oh and don't tell your wife how much stuff costs.

Icons are nice but dang they are expensive. Out of my budget.

One of the reasons to do the BL is because the body just barley touches the sliders right now. It makes noise when I drive. I don't want to find out how that will play out off road. So the i'd get the body up off the sliders a bit. Also the front bumper is very close to to body also. I was actually considering a 1/2" body lift just to resolve these two potential problems. I don't think a 1/2" gap would look bad....

About the tires rubbing... I should have just listened to you and got the 265/75/16 but I had to get all ambitious and get the 255/85's! :)

I wouldn't do the body lift unless you need to. You'll have to lift your bumper and sliders if you do it. I still like the Donahoe Suspension; I believe they are now under Icon name. http://www.iconvehicledynamics.com

You should be able to get a full 3" lift. I used the HD OME rear springs and got 3-3.5" lift. The front coilovers are adjustable. I thought mine rode best around 2-2.5" lift. I put it up to about 3" with the 33s.

Keep posting the pictures!

haven't done anymore trimming. Right now i'm leaning towards a 1" body lift. We'll see though. Can't decide on what lift to get. Debating between SAW 2.0 coilovers and Toytec Coilovers (Bilstein shock and eibach coil). The thing that sucks is a "3 inch lift" will only lift my truck 1.5 inches right? Because I have the 99 longer springs. Essentially my 4runner is already lifted 1.5" stock...

And then I got some 255/85/16 BFG KM2 tires mounted up. These are going to require quite a bit more trimming than the 33x10.5x15's I had on my tacoma required. I was hoping to go wheeling this weekend but it looks like I may have to wait till I figure out how I am going to deal with the rubbing. I do love the tires though! Got a killer deal too!
