cool. any of you guys part of Oregon Bush Hackers? I was a member there for a while, but my truck looked different then. I ran most of the new years runs with them the last couple years (this year excluded – tho I'm not sure anyone actually went this year). curious if any of you might be familiar faces. here's a pic from a trip to TSF i did with them, if that jogs anyone's memory. Welcome!  I'm not a member of the Bush Hackers.  We mostly go with smaller groups with local guys.   MrGreen

can we exchange some contact info? I sent my phone to “Ah Yeah”.

what's the plan for friday? Should I meet up with you guys in Grants Pass and then we'll all caravan down to Obrien together? What time?

I'm looking forward to the trip – it's a trail I've wanted to check out for a few years.

I was thinking we would pick a place and time in Grants Pass to meet and then caravan down to obrien like you said.  Depends on what time everyone is planning on heading down.  I will probably leave sometime mid morning on friday.  We could meet sometime around 3pm in Grants pass.  That would put us near the trailhead around 5ish, time to find a place to camp and make some dinner.

Where were you thinking about camping Saturday night?  Sourdough Campground?

who all is coming?

Let's plan to meet in O'Brian Saturday morning at 9am.  There is a country store in town.  I'm not certain where we will camp out Friday night so we can post up the details when we know.  Otherwise, we can meet in the morning.  Cool

Looking forward to it. I'll only have one other person in my rig with me. Unfortunately, I don't have a CB yet. Sorry!

I'll try to remember to bring our 2 way radios.  We can use channel 1.  If you have them…

Yay!  Time to do some pre-trip maintenance this weekend.  This trip wil be incredible

I don't have a 2 way radio but you can be the go between peter.  How have you done food on this trip in the past?  Together or just do it seperate?  I don't mind going in together on Saturday night dinner and Sunday morning breakfast…  Any idea if we can have a fire while we're out?

sounds like its just gonna be the three trucks… I won't have any passengers.

Holy crap! I misread the dates you guys are coming down. I thought it was tomorrow. I'm sorry, but I have a camping trip planned with my godson next weekend. that really bums me out.

what do you guys think of this trail? is it doable alone? everything says to not run it alone, but then i see pictures and posts saying this trail is only moderately challenging to a stock truck.

I think the remoteness of the trail is why its good to go with others… If for any reason you break down you're a LONG hike out!  Im bummed you can't come.  Was hoping to have a few more trucks go with us.

Yeah.  I'd recommend going with at least one other truck.  It would be no fun getting stuck out there!  That's a bummer you won't be able to make it.
